Custom Mandolin Options
Top: Colorado grown Engelmann Spruce, Sitka, or Adirondak (red) spruce hand graduated and tap tuned. Virzi available upon request
Back: Highly figured curly maple
Neck: hard curly maple. Shaped between a u and a v. Adjustable truss rod. The neck varies from instrument to instrument.
Peghead: Ebony veneer (sometimes walnut, cocobolo, or?) Abalone logo inlay, flowerpot, sconce, or ?
Nut: 1 1/8″ width from Ivory, Abalone or Pearl. The nut width varies a bit from instrument to instrument.
Fingerboard: 22 frets usually. Compound 6 1/2″ to 10″ radius.
Frets: Stainless Steel or Evo Gold w: .080″ h: .043″ Nickel/Silver w: .078 h: .038 Traditional n/s w: .053 h: .037
Binding: Grained Ivoroid/black/ivoroid, black, white, tortoise…
Hardware:Waverly or Alessi tuners, Engraved James tailpiece or Monteleone by Allen. Custom Adjustable Ebony Bridge (my design)
Finish: 1704 Varnish or nitrocellulose lacquer coat over a variety of handrubbed sunbursts
Case: Comes with a shaped fiberglass case
